Altus Reservoir: Lake beach area, walking trail, fishing hole, and Playground

*During the summer time you can enjoy the main pool located by the gym on base!

Fishing- For small hits the Altus Reservoir is just fine. For bigger fish and boating try Lake Altus- Lugert or Tom Steed Lake.

Movies- Heritage Park Theatre (or drive a short distance to the AMC on the edge of Lawton!)

Day Trips: 

Medicine Park- Dining, local shops, Bath Lake Swimming Hole and dedicated bank fishing (also visit the Medicine Park Aquarium and Natural Science Center if you have kids in town!) Check out the Medicine Park, OK Facebook page for music and monthly events!

Wichita Wildlife Refuge- Take a drive and check out some bison and elk up close on your way to Medicine Park or scoot up to Mount Scott for a serene view. If you have time pop over to Meer's for a burger and cobbler (but make sure to bring cash!). 

Lawton- Dining, shopping, groceries (Sam's club), theatre and other entertainment

Wichita Falls, TX- Dining, shopping, Brewhouse, Taproom, and Pub, Castaway Cove Water Park, Performing Arts theaters, Museums and other entertainment

OKC- There is so much to unpack here but a few hot spots are Bricktown, Main Event, Top Golf, Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Museums, Blue Zoo Aquarium, malls, Concerts, Ballgames, and so much more!

Dallas-Fort Worth- One weekend just isn't enough to hit all the hot spots here. 

Let's name just a few. Check out the Perot Musuem or one of the other many famous museums in the surrounding area, walk the  Botanical Gardens, experience the Dallas World Aquarium. visit the Presidential library, go ice-skating at the Galleria, check out the state fair in early fall, watch the Cowboys play at AT&T stadium or catch the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field.
